☀ Sparkling wine with tasting recommendation!
This exquisite sparkling wine is not only reserved for festive occasions, but also promises pure enjoyment as an aperitif or in good company with friends on a sunny day outdoors. Imagine: bright sunshine, happy laughter and a glass of delicious Pizzolato Rosé Spumante in your hand. A truly Mediterranean moment of happiness that warms the soul and pampers the senses. Do you want it to be even more lively? The harmonious combination of Pizzolato Rosé, lavender syrup, gin and soda (recipe below ⇓) is also particularly good.
When deciding to buy the sparkling rosé from Pizzolato, you not only pick something for the eye, but also for the taste. The stylish bottle - in the design of a noble perfume bottle - filled with a harmonious, delicate pink sparkling wine is a long-running success at the highest level.
The delicate floral notes and hints of cherry and raspberry, coupled with fine perlage, seduce the senses. This was also awarded gold at Global Rosé Masters The Drink Business 2022.
Pizzolato is a spumante. The term ‘Spumante’ is used for Italian sparkling wine. This is characterised by its own carbonic acid from fermentation and is produced according to stricter standards (compared to Frizzante). A detailed explanation on this topic can be found in our article: Spumante versus Frizzante & Prosecco.
La Cantina Pizzolato uses two excellent and regional grape varieties for its sparkling rosé. The Glera grape variety is mainly grown in north-eastern Italy and is mostly found in Prosecco, Frizzante or Spumante. The Raboso grape, which also comes from north-eastern Italy (Veneto), belongs to the red wine family. Pizzolato Rosé gets its characteristic taste from the balanced combination of the above-mentioned grape varieties.
PS: According to one theory, the name of the Raboso grape variety is derived from the Italian ‘rabbioso’ (wild, angry), presumably because of its tart, acidic taste. However, no tart, acidic taste can be detected in this spumante. The harmonious combination of the two grape varieties rather provides floral notes as well as a hint of cherry and raspberry.
Enjoy this Italian sparkling wine as an aperitif or just for the fun of it. We can definitely recommend this.
Even if it may sound unusual, we can also recommend the Pizzolato on ice with fresh mint leaves or in a long drink, for example a Pizzolato Rosé Spumante Lavender Spritz.
What do you need? → 120ml Pizzolato Rosé, 30ml lavender syrup, 30ml gin, 60ml soda, ice cubes, lavender flowers for garnish.
Take a glass and fill it with ice cubes. Pour Pizzolato Rosé, lavender syrup and gin over the ice. Gently stir to combine the ingredients. Top off with soda for a refreshing touch. Garnish with a few lavender flowers. Now you can enjoy this aromatic Lavender Spritz to the fullest!

Behind the Pizzolato Rosé Spumante extra dry is the producer "La Cantina Pizzolato" from Veneto. This traditional winery has been in existence for 5 generations. Settimo Pizzolato joined his father Gino in 1981 in what was then a mixed fruit-growing business with 2.5 hectares of vineyards. As an innovative businessman with a strong focus on sustainability, he was the first winemaker in Italy to decide in favour of sustainable, organic and now vegan cultivation of the vineyard. From 1987 onwards, Cantina Pizzolato was continuously converted to controlled organic cultivation. The goal from back then is still relevant today: "To produce wines that meet the expectations of a particularly health-conscious consumer and that are made from grapes grown in an unpolluted environment without the use of chemicals or animal products.
As the full name of the Pizzolato Rosé suggests, there is more behind the chic bottle design. With sustainability in mind, Cantina Pizzolato wanted to launch the Rosé Spumante Extra Dry M-USE on the market as a product that can still be used after consumption. How? With upcycling!
The name "M-Use" is inspired by the Greek goddesses of art and beauty as well as the original MULTI-USE concept, which focuses on environmental friendliness and material efficiency. By purchasing m-use, you are choosing an environmentally conscious project that starts with the floor and extends to the table. Next, all you have to do is find the perfect way to beautify your home with m-use. Be it as a water glass, lamp or candle jar - creative ideas can be found here (https://www.pizzolatomuse.com/en/re-use)
