The bees collect this delicious nectar of the orange and turn it into excellent honey. This orange blossom honey is extracted from the combs in a liquid state by cold spinning and bottled directly.
The basis for this honey are oranges that grow on sustainably managed plantations in sunny Sicily and are cultivated completely without the use of chemical fertilisers or pesticides. The mild climate, many hours of sunshine as well as mineral-rich soils result in juicy, sweet oranges. In the midst of these plantations, the beehives are placed to ensure that the bees mainly use the nectar of orange blossoms.
The flavour of this blossom honey is intense, aromatic-sweet and fruity. However, orange blossom honey (unfortunately) does not taste of orange.
The colour is light and shows yellowish-orange tones.
