→ Mani Olive Oil Selection, 0.5 litre is 100% sustainable. Not only in ecological terms, but also in social terms. It is produced according to strict ecological and social standards.
The Mani Olive Oil Selection NL Fair is single-varietal. This means that it is produced exclusively from the Koroneiki olive from the Mani. The olive-growing region covers the entire Mani (Greek: Μάνη), the so-called "middle finger" of the Peloponnese. The Mani stretches south from the city of Kalamata to the tip of Cape Tenaro (the southernmost mainland point in Europe). The "outer" Mani, which is crossed by the striking Taygethos Mountains, is characterised by silvery-green olive groves that mostly extend to the rocky coast. There are a few certified olive growers here who cultivate according to Naturland and Naturland Fair guidelines. This high-quality organic olive oil is an all-rounder in the kitchen. Whether for light sautéing, refining sauces, as a salad dressing or as the perfect accompaniment to grilled and steamed vegetables. Mani olive oil is a must for lovers of Mediterranean cuisine and olive oil in general.
The flavour profile of the olive oil is reminiscent of herbs, wild flowers and slightly of artichokes. It is characterised by a slight spiciness.
Naturland is a certification body that promotes organic farming and fair trade relations. The Naturland Fair certificate means that Mani olive oil is produced in accordance with social criteria in order to guarantee olive growers fair working conditions and appropriate remuneration. This applies, for example, to seasonal workers during the harvest season and the fair remuneration of these workers. At the same time, fair trade guidelines are taken into account. For example, the purchase price between farmer and bottler or bulk buyer.
