MANI Bläuel's green olives al naturale are marinated in a delicious marinade of olive oil, oregano and sea salt. This simple but wonderful marinade made from just 3 ingredients is typical of Greece and the Peloponnese. Only a few ingredients are needed to marinade the olives. The organic table olives from Greece are harvested traditionally and largely by hand. Immediately after the unripe olives are harvested (hence their green colour), they are naturally de-bittered. In other words, the olives are soaked in brine to remove the bitter substances from the olives. After debittering, the green olives are marinated in fine MANI olive oil and oregano. The firm flesh of the green olive impresses with its wonderfully spicy flavour. A real delicacy on its own as an appetiser, in salads and also in hot dishes.
