This award-winning Greek organic olive oil from Mani Bläuel is made from 100% Koroneiki olives. This olive variety is an autochthonous olive variety from the Peloponnese. The olives for this extra virgin olive oil come from the groves of the Mani. The Mani (Greek: Μάνη) is the so-called "middle finger" of the Peloponnese. It begins south of the city of Kalamata and ends at the tip of Cape Tenaro (the southernmost mainland point in Europe). The "outer" Mani, which is crossed by the striking Taygethos Mountains, is characterised by silvery-green olive groves that mostly extend to the rocky coast. The ideal climatic conditions and proximity to the sea give this olive oil a unique flavour. Whether for cooking, as a dressing or to flavour stews and sauces. The most recent was 1st place in the Gault&Millau olive oil test in summer 2024, where 24 different Greek olive oils were tasted. Mani Bläuel and high-quality organic olive oil from Greece are closely linked. More than 40 years ago, Fritz and Burgi Bläuel (from Austria) settled in Mani to explore alternative ways of living and farming. Together with olive farmers, they began to set up an organic farm and produce high-quality olive oil. To date, MANI Bläuel has supported over 300 farming families in converting to organic farming. The family's commitment led to the development of Greece's first certified organic olive oil in 1991, which is now exported worldwide.
