This dry red wine from Bodegas Pago Ayles comes from the wine-growing region of Cariñena, not far from Zaragoza. The name of the wine says it all. Unxpected - this wine exceeds expectations. It was deservedly awarded silver at the Mundus Vini Biofach. On the nose, the fruit of red berries, subtle aromas reminiscent of port wine and some cedar wood. On the palate, incredibly
juicy and catchy, beautiful black cherry and subtle bacon and a little pepper in the background. Made from 100% Garnacha.

Bodega Aylés is located in the Cariñena wine-growing region, not far from Zaragoza. The total area of 3,200 hectares is a contiguous biotope characterized by a rocky landscape, ravines and watercourses. The area is listed by the EU as a Natura 2000 bird sanctuary. Federico Ramón Sr. left nothing to chance when creating the vineyard. With great meticulousness and on the basis of solid scientific research, he planted the vines only in the best locations. Since 2010, Aylés has been a Pago - the highest vineyard classification in Spain - and thus one of only 15 Crû vineyards. A special microclimate unique to the region (cooler climate) is also a prerequisite. There are (only) 70 hectares of vines, of which 47 hectares are recognized as Vino de Pago.
Since 2010, the next generation of the Ramón family, the siblings Ana, Immaculada and Federico Jr.
